Winter Reflections
With Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we designed a program that traveled across cultures and emotions—centered around Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3 in C minor, one of the great masterpieces of the violin-piano repertoire. Alongside it, we shared the timeless Chinese love legend “The Butterfly Lovers (梁山伯与祝英台)”, the U.S. premiere of Listening to Snow at White Deer Plain (白鹿原听雪), and a tender closing with Estrellita.
As a small cultural touch, I will briefly demonstrated just a couple of lines inspired by Peking Opera (京剧) and Kunqu (昆曲)—a little glimpse into traditional Chinese vocal color and storytelling.
Thank you to everyone who came, listened, supported, and helped make this concert possible. Your warmth and encouragement mean the world to us.
Next up: Winter Café — Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:00 PM
We’re excited to share that this next event will feature guest artists Christina CL Tan and Tyler Michael James. We can’t wait to bring you an evening of music in a cozy, café-like setting!

With gratitude,
